1. Conversation Review
Ross : What did you do today?
Me : Today, I go to my office and I read some AI papers and did some work that my mentor talk to me.
(English) : Today I went to work as usual, read some AI papers and did what the senior told me to do.
Ross : So have you looked for jobs recently?
Me : This year, at January and Febuary I searched for some job.
(English) : I looked for a job in January and February of this year.
Ross : What kind of jobs were you looking for?
Me : Mostly software engineer and some also AI research engineer
(English) : I was mostly looking for AI researchers or AI engineers, and I was also looking for software engineers.
Ross : Where did you go to look for these jobs?
Me : I usually find my jobs in linkedin or SNS like Facebook or search engine like google, naver.
(English) : I use LinkedIn to find them, and I also use social media like Facebook and search engines like Google
and Naver.
Ross : Which tool do you think is the most successful for you so far?
Me : I think SNS is the most useful to me because in SNS I can hear some people who works at that company, so I can hear there thoughts.
(English) : I think social media is the best because I can get some more authentic information from someone who actually works at the company.
Ross : What helps you out by hearing their thoughts?(그들의 생각을 들으면 어떤 점이 도움이 되나요?)
Me : If someone satisfy their company works and the reason they satisfy is good to hear for me, I think that company is good company. Because some company have some trouble between employers and employee but when employees satisfy for their leader, I think that is good company.
(English) : If the people who actually work at the company are happy with the overall works, I think it's perceived pretty well, because a lot of times, a company can look good on the outside, but the people who actually work there can be very unhappy.
Ross : Did you get a response from either company?
Me : Yes, but I failed in final interview.
(English) : Yes, but I didn't get the final interview.
Ross : Did they tell you what was the reason for not passing the final interview?
Me : No they didn't tell me about that reason. But I think my experience is too lower than other candidates.
(English) : No. They didn't tell me exactly why I didn't get the job, but I think it was because I was very
inexperienced and didn't interview as well as the other candidates.
Ross : When you decide to start looking for jobs again, what are the steps that you take to prepare for the interview?
Me : At first I think making my CV is the most important thing. And then, when. I prepare my CV, I will practice coding test because all of the software engineer needs to do coding test.
(English) : I think the first and most important thing is to create a neat CV that captures my information well, and
once I have that, I would prepare for coding tests and technical interviews.
Ross : What else might you do to prepare for the interview?
Me : And then I think I will gather some people who find jobs and prepare interview together.
(English) : And then I think I would organize a study group of people who are preparing for interviews together, and we would watch each other's interviews and give each other feedback.
